Physiotherapy at our Hatfield Clinic

Our unique approach to physiotherapy helps you to find strength, confidence, and control. It looks beyond the surface symptoms to find the root cause of your pain or movement restriction.

By blending hands-on manual therapy with tailored rehabilitation exercises, our specialists create a structured pathway designed around your daily goals.

Plus, with full gym facilities available on site, you have everything you need to safely build back your mobility, accelerate your recovery, and build long-term physical resilience.

Osteopathy

Don't just manage your symptoms; find out what's actually causing them. Our approach to osteopathy is designed to uncover how structural imbalances and movement habits are placing strain on your muscles and joints.

By blending skilled, hands-on treatment with a personalised recovery plan, our osteopaths work to relieve immediate stiffness, restore your body's natural alignment, and prevent injuries from returning.

It’s a complete approach to care that gives you back the freedom to move with total ease and confidence throughout your busy day.

Sports Massage

Our integrated sports therapy and sports massage treatments are designed to support your body through every physical challenge. We focus on three core areas to deliver lasting results:

  • Targeted Recovery: Relieving deep muscle soreness, accelerating healing after an injury, and releasing stubborn tension.

  • Movement Restoration: Enhancing flexibility and joint mobility, whether you’re recovering from a heavy running week or long hours at a desk.

  • Future Prevention: Moving past temporary relief to fix structural imbalances, ensuring you can train, work, and live without recurring pain.

Where it all began

Opened in 2010 at David Lloyd Hatfield, our original clinic remains the heart of Perfect Balance and sets the standard of excellence across all our locations.

Comprehensive rehabilitation expertise

From Osteopathy and Physiotherapy to a full range of specialist rehabilitation and wellness services, our experienced team deliver professional, personalised care for every stage of recovery.

Advanced treatment technology

Advanced treatment technology

As one of the select clinics offering both K-Laser® and Shockwave Therapy, we provide access to innovative treatment options designed to support faster, more effective results when clinically appropriate.

What to expect

From your very first session, you’ll be in expert hands. We don’t do cookie-cutter treatments. We listen, assess, and create a plan that works for you, with hands-on therapy, real accountability, and full-body results that last.
Conditions we can help you with:

Arm pain

Don't let arm pain or weakness hold you back from your daily routine. Whether your symptoms have come on gradually from desk work and gym training, or started suddenly after an injury, we are here to help. Our team assesses how your neck, shoulder, elbow, and wrist function together to find exactly what is driving your discomfort. We then create a personalised recovery plan aimed at clearing up your symptoms and protecting your body for the long term.

Back and spine pain

It's exhausting when back pain starts affecting your sleep, your workouts, and your ability to focus at work. Spine issues can manifest in many different ways; from a dull ache or tight muscles to sharp disc pain and shooting sciatica. That’s why our team takes the time to figure out the 'why' behind your symptoms. By identifying the movement habits or structural strains that need to change, we help you transition away from constant discomfort and move back toward a lifestyle of comfortable movement.

Foot and ankle pain

Because your feet carry your entire weight, issues like an ankle sprain, a running injury, Achilles stiffness, or plantar fasciitis can quickly cause you to develop a limp or a different way of walking. A change in how you walk can trigger knee or back pain too. That’s why our approach looks at how your lower limbs function as a whole. By analysing your walk, assessing your movement, and using hands-on care, we help you to break the cycle of pain, and move freely again.

Hip pain

Hip pain can develop from a variety of sources, including intense sports training, sudden changes in workout volume, long hours of desk sitting, or age-related joint stiffness. At Perfect Balance, we look beyond the joint itself, evaluating how your hips, pelvis, and lower back interact to isolate the true cause of your discomfort. Once we understand your unique movement patterns, we build a personalised rehabilitation plan designed to optimise your strength, restore your mobility, and prevent further hip pain in the future.

Knee pain

Resolving knee pain requires a targeted approach that addresses both immediate inflammation and underlying mechanics. Our treatment plans focus on three pillars:

  • Load Assessment: Pinpointing how your body absorbs shock during exercise, running, or walking.

  • Irritation Reduction: Using targeted hands-on therapy and clinical guidance to settle knee discomfort and ligament strain.

  • Stability Training: Rebuilding joint confidence and strength to ensure long-term protection against recurring injuries.

Shoulder pain

Shoulder pain can niggle at you throughout the day, making simple daily tasks, a good night's sleep, and regular exercise incredibly challenging. Whether your symptoms stem from a rotator cuff injury, a frozen shoulder, gym-related strain, or tension due to posture, we look at the bigger picture. Our clients benefit from an approach where clinicians evaluate how your shoulder, neck, and upper back function as a connected unit to find the root cause of your discomfort. Following this, we create a structured plan to improve your movement quality, ease pain, and support your long-term recovery.

Sports injuries

Sports injuries rarely impact just one isolated area. At Perfect Balance, we look beyond the immediate painful spot to fully analyse your unique movement patterns, training demands, and personal recovery capacity. Whether you are dealing with a sudden muscle strain, stubborn tendon pain, a running injury, or require a comprehensive return-to-sport rehabilitation program, our goal is the same. We aim to help you achieve a complete recovery so you can perform with total confidence, without the worry of the issue returning.

Overall health diagnostics and strengthening

It can be incredibly frustrating when you constantly feel exhausted, get stuck in a cycle of recurring niggles, or notice your performance stalling for no clear reason. Usually, these persistent warning signs mean your body is struggling to manage its current physical loads or find time to recover properly. That’s why we don’t just look at where it hurts. Our expert team works together to evaluate your whole body, combining expert rehab and strength work to help you break the cycle, rebuild your health, and move without limitations.

What people say about us...

Shereen was great! She identified that my pain was caused by a Baker’s cyst within 10 minutes of my first session. She provided daily stretches and guided me through laser and rehabilitation sessions. Five weeks on, I’m fully healed and back to running.

Josh Forster , Hatfield, London

By far, the best physio therapy I’ve ever had. Selene dedicated plenty of time to fully understand all about my injuries and giving me advise about how to proceed. She is great.

Daniel Gutierrez , Hatfield, London

Keone was excellent, really helped with email contact aswell.
