I believe passionately in keeping fit and healthy through exercise, but injuries are a way of life for an active person.
I am a specialist in sharing techniques to prevent them and helping people to recover quickly. I have played International Netball, run the London Marathon and now take part in Ironman Triathlons. I have also coached a range of school sports, so I can empathise with those that put their bodies under stressful circumstances. As a mature student with university-aged children, I studied physiotherapy at Hertfordshire University.

Through experience in clinical environments such as rehabilitation of the elderly, paediatrics, intensive care and musculoskeletal outpatients, I have gained a thorough understanding of the different areas of physiotherapy and the need to develop individual programmes for every patient.
I particularly enjoyed providing post-event physiotherapy support for the MS Society after the London Marathon. During my rehabilitation position in Hemel Hempstead we worked hard to ensure our patients become as independent and mobile as possible before returning home. With falls prevention being of utmost importance, we carried out balance and strengthening exercises, both on an individual basis and in groups, together with falls education.
With three sporty teenagers of my own and with the life experiences that this brings, I believe in a multidisciplinary approach, working with other professionals as part of a team to help offer clients a holistic route to recovery. I keep fit by training for and taking part in triathlons, my latest being an Ironman triathlon to Norway in 2019.
