Mohini Morar

Previously, I have spent two years working in spinal health care. In this role I gained valuable experience treating conditions such as chronic back pain, degenerative disc disease and sciatica. Treatments included manual therapy, K-laser therapy, exercise and rehabilitation programs to treat and prevent conditions reoccurring. For the past five years, I have worked at Watford FC Academy U9-23s, Women’s First and Development teams. Within this role I have developed a range of knowledge for acute and severe injuries from growing pains, sprains and strains to ACL ruptures. With a combination of manual therapy and rehabilitation programs from day one, throughout their recovery, athletes successfully returned to sport with increased strength, mobility, balance and a reduced risk of further injury. During lockdown I completed the ‘FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine’ course, specialising in upper and lower body sport related injuries, carrying out detailed assessments, ensuring athletes return to sport with full fitness. I also worked within the Pediatric ward in the NHS, developing skills treating severe injuries and conditions post-surgery, including scoliosis and lower and upper limb osteotomies. To address these various injuries and conditions I encouraged the use of exercise therapies and this resulted in patients being able to successfully return home and carry out their daily routine and return to normal activities. I will continue to develop my knowledge, experience and skills set throughout my career, using an all-round approach, providing outstanding care for each individual.
