Clinic Manager and Senior Physiotherapist
Phil Owen
Clinic location : Cambridge
I have always been fascinated by the human body and how it works.
Having experienced injuries and joint issues in the past I know just how frustrating it can be, and I enjoy helping people recover from whatever injury they may be suffering from. I strongly believe in trying to find the root cause of the problem, and that by addressing this we get better long-term results.
More about Phil
I qualified as a physiotherapist back in 2007, and worked in the NHS up until 2015, before moving into the private sector. I have gained experience in treating patients with sports injuries, neurological problems, balance and falls prevention, rheumatology, and post-surgical rehabilitation. I keep up-to-date with research and new treatment methods, and frequently attend courses and lectures to improve my knowledge and skills.
I specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and believe that everything starts with a thorough, detailed assessment. I always aim to treat not only the symptoms, but also the underlying issues that caused the problem to arise in the first place. I create bespoke, specific treatment plans to help each patient reach their goals. I use a combined approach to treatment – utilising exercise, manual therapy, taping, acupuncture, and electrotherapy to ensure I give the most to my clients and help them get back to their normal lives as quickly as possible.
